Volunteer for One World Market!

	Volunteers are critical to the success of One World Market! Currently over 50 volunteers, in addition to a volunteer Board of Directors, assist the staff with daily operations. Our volunteers want to make a difference in a meaningful way, and support of the store’s activities also supports concerns for social justice, hunger and poverty in all nations. Volunteering is fun, relaxing and rewarding. We ask volunteers to give 4 hours per month, but we are very flexible. Volunteers with less or more time are certainly welcome. Volunteers are eligible to receive a store discount (and they often get to see the new items before anyone else!).
	One World Market always welcomes new volunteers. Assistance with sales, stocking crafts, data entry, display, off-site sales, and speaking to community groups are on-going needs. To volunteer, visit the store on 811 Ninth Street or call 286-2457. Ask for the Volunteer Coordinator. Right now, we have a pressing need for volunteers in the following areas: Sales Associates Special Events In-store displays   Every year volunteers provided more than 8,300 hours of service equivalent to $132,000 in wages! We hope you will join our One World Market family!
	For Current Volunteers: Volunteer Listserv - join the list, view past messages, change your settings. Volunteer Schedule - check/print the schedule. To sign up for a shift, click on the plus sign in the upper right hand corner of the day when you wish to volunteer. Type your name in "brief description" box then click the "scheduling" tab and select "timed event" to set the start and end time for your shift (click "ok" if you get a message saying there is a conflicting event; more than one person may sign up for a shift).
